Emergency Wills

Sometimes a will cannot wait. If you, or someone close to you, is seriously ill, about to go into hospital or facing a sudden change in circumstances, having a valid will in place quickly can give you and your family real peace of mind.

An emergency will is simply a will that is put together at short notice. It is still a proper, legally binding will, and it has to be written and signed correctly, in the same way as any other.

When might you need an emergency will?

• You or a loved one has been diagnosed with a serious illness.
• You are due to go into hospital for an operation.
• You are about to travel, or take on something that carries risk.
• Your family circumstances have changed unexpectedly.
